Myfanwy Williams – Dental Hygienist

Myfanwy Williams (AKA Myf), Senior Dental Hygienist has been at Pascoe Vale Dental Group since November 2011. She has worked in a number of dental practices throughout Melbourne with dentists specialising in varying fields of dentistry.

Finding the career of dental hygienist a little later in life has meant that Myf brings life experience to her work, and has ensured that she was very certain of her career choice and direction. She is dedicated to improving patients’ periodontal health (the health of the gums and tissues surrounding the teeth), and believes in working thoroughly and in the most gentle manner possible. Enabling people to feel at ease means that they are better positioned to achieve optimal oral health, something that is essential for one's overall general health.

Myf enjoys working with patients to achieve this outcome, especially if they are just starting out on the journey of looking after their teeth and gums or it has been a while since their last dental visit, and believes that no one should feel embarrassed at the dentist!

In her spare time, Myf enjoys reading, spending time with family, and trying different restaurants. Her areas of interest include history and current affairs, and issues that impact people's access to healthcare. She is also acutely aware that with the impending arrival of her first baby in November 2018, she is going to very short on spare time...
