Low dose digital X-rays
Dental X-rays are commonly taken to detect problems with a patient’s teeth, gums and/or jaw bone, such as tooth decay, broken tooth roots, cysts, tumours, impacted teeth or dental injuries; in most cases before any symptoms are present. Low dose digital X-rays are extremely beneficial to our patients, as they emit 90 per cent less radiation when capturing an image, compared with traditional X-rays. This latest improvement allows our team to capture detailed pictures of your entire mouth on the spot and detect potential problems immediately, thus saving you time and money. You won’t have to have multiple X-rays taken or wait around to receive results, and it’s unlikely that you’ll need to return to our dental centre for a second appointment.
FACT: Dental X rays are one of the lowest radiation dosage one could receive. Being out in the sun or traveling on an aeroplane can omit and expose you to more radiation.
